We hosted my sister’s Bridal Shower at American Fifth. It was an amazing event. The space was perfect for our 40 person event. We were allowed to bring in a caterer of our choice. Kate helped us plan a great event and made amazing drinks. Veronica was an attentive and friendly server. All of our guests were so happy. We were able to decorate the space as we pleased. The drinks were amazing. We are so grateful that we were able to host our event here and would 100% recommend them!

Cute little place. They make all of their own drinks and it's fun to choose and try them out. The bar is gorgeous with a million pennies! Truly a hidden gem. The bartenders are also super nice and talented. They have seasonal drinks too which make it exciting to go throughout the year. Highly suggest going there, I plan on revisiting again soon!

Drinks are delicious and innovative. Staff is super friendly. Place is very clean and the decor is how a distillery should be. Update: my wife and I have been going here for over 2 years now. We absolutely love this place! We both have become Crystal Club members. The cocktails are always amazing and they constantly add and subtract some drinks.

Good drinks (not very strong) and flight test whisky. Decent food. The waitress is super nice and friendly, and extremely busy. Please hire more help.

Zach and Justin were absolutely phenomenal. We have not been to Lansing since graduation in 2018. We are back for a wedding from SLC, and these two are incredible. It was a breath of fresh air to find amazing staff at one of our favorite long time establishments. The prices are criminally low. So go and order craft cocktails at a ridiculously low price. We tipped nearly 200%. These guys should light some herbs on fire and create more of an experience. But even without that, they are killing it. American fifth has a great, long time name, and we are happy to see Zach and Justin representing one of our favorite Lansing establishments.

A gem of a cocktail bar and distillery with a smooth retro jazz vibe. The spirit flights (especially the barrel-aged whiskey and gin) were great, but the cocktail flights really stood out — creative, tasty, and just plain fun. This little cocktail spot is a hidden gem. I’ve been a handful of times, and have always had a nice experience. I am a bourbon and gin fan, so their drinks hit the spot for me. A friend and I shared a generously portioned charcuterie board with our cocktails recently, and I didn’t realize they had (limited but good) food options.

I sampled several of the spirits made here one evening and found them to be quite pleasant. The absinthe was especially nice with a little cold water. The staff was busy but friendly, and they definitely put a lot of effort into their cocktails. It’s a pretty cool place with a somewhat stylish atmosphere. I could see it being a good spot for drinks during a date.

Great cocktails at a standard price (for the area), their in-house liquors are pretty good and affordable too. Chill atmosphere and friendly staff.
